Wrestler Xia visits Rainbows

Professional wrestler Xia Brookside was a knockout last week as she visited our hospice.

After hearing about the work we do, WWE NXT UK star Xia was inspired to fundraise for us and presented our staff with a donation of £1,100. 

Xia, who is from Beaumont Leys and is the daughter of retired wrestler Robbie Brookside, helped the children and young people with arts and crafts and showed some of her signature moves in our Soft Play room. She also toured our hospice with her partner and fellow wrestler, Sean Kustom, to see the facilities and services that we provide. 

“It was fantastic to visit Rainbows and see the range of incredible work that is carried out there,” said Xia. “To meet so many children, young people and their families was very inspiring. I would like to thank all of my fans who have helped me to raise over £1,000, it means so much to me and I look forward to supporting Rainbows more in the future.”
