Wes Morgan donates £10k to Rainbows
Former Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has donated £10,000 to Rainbows.
Wes, who is a supporter of our charity, was awarded the cash as part of his retirement gift from the Professional Footballers Association.
Making the donation, Wes said: “I am so proud to support Rainbows and am delighted to be able to gift them with this donation. The work done at the hospice is incredibly important to so many families, not just from Leicestershire, but across the East Midlands. The facilities at Rainbows, and the work they do in the community, is vital to helping children and young people make the most of their short lives. I look forward to continuing to work with such an incredible charity.”
Jane Burns, Director of Supporter Relations at Rainbows, added: “We would all like to thank Wes for his kind donation and for all he does for us. It really helps to make the world of difference to so many families that rely on our services.”
In 2020, Wes donated £1,000 to our fundraising appeal, which was launched because of a shortfall in our income due to Covid-19.
