Tennis star gives ace donation to us

British tennis star Katie Boulter has served up an ace donation for our hospice.

Following her performance in April’s Fed Cup, Katie was nominated for the tournament’s Heart Award. She was victorious following a public ballot and netted $6,000 USD.

Katie, who is from Woodhouse Eaves, donated the winnings – which equates to almost £5,000 – to us.

Katie said: “I was so happy to have been voted the winner of the Fed Cup Heart Award. To play for something bigger than yourself is such a privilege. I chose to donate the money to Rainbows. Coming from the same village I was brought up in, it holds a special place in my heart.”
