Spotlight on Loughborough theatre group’s donation of £10,000 to Rainbows
Rainbows have given a Loughborough theatre group a standing ovation for an incredible donation.
As well as raising the curtain on an array of productions, The Festival Players have raised £10,000 for our hospice.
Since 2017, the theatre group has donated £1 from every ticket transaction to us. They have set the scene with productions including Goodnight Mister Tom, The Vicar of Dibley and The Railway Children.
Nick Grainger, Artistic Director for The Festival Players, said: “Everyone at The Festival
Players is delighted with the amount we’ve been able to raise in the past three years. It’s truly wonderful to pursue a hobby one loves, and at the same time support such a fantastic cause.”
Gary Farnfield, Rainbows Community Fundraiser in Leicestershire, added: “What The Festival Players have done for us is incredible and on behalf of everyone at Rainbows, I would like to thank them for their show-stopping support. I would also like to thank everyone who has watched the shows, which are always wonderful, as they too have supported us. We look forward to continuing a brilliant partnership.”
Tickets for all future plays can be purchased from the Loughborough Town Hall box office on 01509 231914 or online at www.loughboroughtownhall.co.uk The Festival Players next show – The Rise and Fall of Little Voice – opens at Loughborough Town Hall on Tuesday 18 February.
