Rise to the cash challenge
Rainbows is asking companies, groups and schools if they can be nifty and thrifty with a fifty.
Organisations across the region are being encouraged to sign up this year’s Accumulator Challenge and support us.
For three months, from Monday 5 May until Monday 4 August, we are setting the challenge to groups, schools and companies to be creative, have fun and raise money. The teams will be given £50 and challenged to turn it in to as much cash as possible, which will go towards supporting us in our 20th birthday year.
The rules are simple; raise money by whatever means, as long as it is safe and legal.
Katie Baxter, community and events manager at Rainbows, said: “We give you £50 and during three months we ask you to raise as much as you can for Rainbows in whatever way you choose.
“There are so many different things that people can do from staging a cake sale to organising an event. By taking part, the money you make will help to fund specialist care
for children and young people with complex needs, provide sibling support services so brothers and sisters can meet others who are facing similar challenges to their own and it will ensure we can continue to be there for families when they need us most.
“The challenge also has benefits for your company or group as it can help to strengthen team spirit, provide great PR opportunities and demonstrate social responsibility.”
We are looking for teams to register before the Accumulator Challenge launches on Monday 5 May. For more information, visit www.rainbows.co.uk/accumulatorchallenge contact 0800 952 1133 or email [email protected]
