Rainbows hosts annual fireworks extravaganza
Tickets for our Spooky Festival of Fireworks, at Leicester Racecourse on Sunday 1 November, are now on sale.
As well as a huge bonfire, event goers will be treated to two fireworks displays, a funfair, refreshments and stalls. And this year, we are encouraging people to don Halloween fancy dress, with prizes awarded for the best under 16s costume. There will also be music and entertainment from BBC Radio Leicester’s Jim Davis, Jo Hayward and Rupal Rajani.
Katie Baxter, events and community manager at Rainbows, said: “This is one of our most popular events and we are expecting it to be very busy so we recommend people secure their tickets before the night.
“This year, we are celebrating 20 years of care and all money raised at the event goes to ensure we are able to open our doors to some of the region’s poorliest children.”
The gates and funfair open at 5.30pm followed by a children’s firework display at 7pm. Lighting the bonfire will be at 7.30pm and the main firework display will take place at 8.15pm.
Tickets in advance are £5 per person and £20 for a family ticket (two adults and three children). Children under five are free. On the night, tickets will be £7 and £25.
