Our Open Day is a success
Around 800 people visited us on Saturday 17th September as we opened our doors to the public.
Visitors attended our annual Open Day to learn more about the work carried out to provide care and support to children and young people with life-limited illnesses and their families, and the difference their fundraising makes to us. Around £24,000 was also collected, made up of donations on the day and money that people had raised throughout the year.
People toured the Hydrotherapy Pool, Music Room, Multi-sensory Room, Cinema, Arts and Craft Room and Soft Play area as well as browsing at stalls and enjoying a BBQ and refreshments.
Andrew Ball, Director of Income Generation at Rainbows, said: “The Rainbows Open Day is our most important day of the year as it’s our chance to show people what a world class facility they’ve built and what a difference they make to local lives. We were overwhelmed with the number of visitors that came through our doors on the day and our volunteers and staff were very proud to show people around. Thank you to everyone who came, it’s down to you that we can continue to help families going through the most difficult times imaginable.”
