Open Day is a success!
Around 1,000 people visited the hospice for our Open Day on Saturday 14 September.
Visitors attended the annual Open Day to learn more about the work carried out to provide care and support to children and young people with life-limited illnesses and their families.
People toured the Hydrotherapy Pool, Music Room, Multi-sensory Room, Cinema, Arts and Craft Room and Soft Play area as well as browsing at stalls and enjoying a BBQ and refreshments.
Geoff Ellis, chief executive at Rainbows, said: “We are delighted with the turn out for Open Day this year and we would like to thank everyone who came along to view our facilities and find out more about what we do at Rainbows. We hope people enjoyed themselves and were inspired with what they saw.
“We work hard to make Rainbows a happy place and, as we support more than 280 families, we simply wouldn’t be able to do this without the backing of our volunteers, supporters and fundraisers.”
