Kate’s a natural for Rainbows celebrity lunch
Popular TV presenter and writer Kate Humble has teamed up with Rainbows hospice and is Leicestershire-bound to attend the charity’s Celebrity Annual Lunch as its guest speaker.
The event, which takes place on Wednesday, 7 March is a chance to share a sumptuous three-course lunch with the celebrity broadcaster at Welford Road Stadium, home of the Leicester Tiger. Guests will hear anecdotes and entertaining stories, followed by a question and answer session.
The broadcaster has become a household name for a clutch of nature-based programmes, including Springwatch and Autumnwatch. Her most recent TV credits include Back to the Land, Arctic Live and Volcano Live. She has also featured on Lambing Live, Who Do You Think You Are? and Yellowstone: Wildest Winter to Blazing Summer.
And she has written for publications including The Telegraph, The Times, The Independent, Travel Africa and Wanderlust. She also has a regular column in the Saturday Telegraph about her farm.
Nancy Lillington, Rainbows Events Manager, said: “We are delighted Kate has accepted the invitation to speak at our Celebrity Annual Lunch and know she will be a big draw for the event, which raises money to support our work at Rainbows.”
All proceeds from the event will help support youngsters with life-limiting conditions and their families. It will be hosted by BBC Radio Leicester presenter Dave Andrews. Tickets at £40 per person are now available at rainbows.co.uk/lunch.
