Join us for a great birthday bake

We are calling on people to help bake a difference and raise some dough by holding a cake themed event.

As part of our 20^th birthday celebrations, we have launched the Rainbows Great Birthday Bake and need budding chefs or enthusiastic sweet tooths to hold baking fundraising events.

Katie Baxter, community and events manager, said: “This year we are celebrating our 20^th birthday so what better way to join in with our party than to bake a cake. Your event can be as little or large as you like, the only limit is your imagination. If you want to do something more unusual, you could organise a bucket collection dressed in caked-themed costumes, have a cake icing competition or stage a good old cake fight.

“Over the last 20 years, we’ve helped thousands of terminally ill and life-limited children, young people and their families, through the toughest days of their lives. Right now, we’re caring for 288 children and young people – that’s more than ever before. So whether you’re a cake baker, or just an eager cake eater, do your bit and help us to bake a difference.”
