Leicester shopping centre Easter activity to support Rainbows
Youngsters visiting Highcross Leicester during the Easter holidays can take part in an exciting challenge and raise money for Rainbows.
Between April 1 and 16, children can join a mission to hunt for our mascot Bow Bear. Armed with an activity sheet, they will hunt around the shopping centre to find where Bow is hiding. Once they have found all of the Bow Bears they will be able to decipher a phrase and claim a prize. Children will also be entered into a grand prize draw to win a big Bow Bear cuddly toy.
Melanie Bodaly, Partnerships Development Manager at Rainbows, said: “This will be a really fun event to get involved in during the Easter holidays and we hope to see lots of children taking part. During the two weeks, we will also be staging raffles with great prizes up for grabs such as tickets to Leicester Tigers and Leicester Riders games.
“We would like to thank Highcross Leicester for supporting us with this fundraising initiative, without the backing of organisations like the shopping centre, we simply would not be able to raise the funds we need to run our hospice and outreach services, which is more than £6 million.”
Nicki Demagalski, Marketing and Events Support at Highcross, said: “We are really excited to host the Bow Bear Hunt over the Easter Holidays, it is a great activity for the Highcross community to be involved in and raises awareness for an amazing cause.”
Entry is £3 per child. Registration and activity sheet collection will take place at the Customer Information Desk.
