Charity Boxing aims for Knockout for Rainbows
Leicester’s Charity Challenge Boxing is aiming for a knockout night at its next event by smashing the £100,000 target for our hospice.
The white collar boxing organisation is setting up the ring for its next event on Saturday 2 May, at the Morningside Arena, and is looking for budding fighters to sign up and help raise money for us.
Organised by Nathan Leverton and Faisal Nathani, this is the sixth event in the Challenge Charity Boxing series, which has already raised over £65,000 for our charity.
Faisal said: “We have been supporting Rainbows for a couple of years now and we are so proud of what we, and our amazing competitors, have achieved. When we started our journey with Rainbows, we never anticipated raising so much money.
“The training for our next event starts on Tuesday 10 March and we would love to get as many people signed up as possible. It really is a lot of fun, you get fit, make lots of new friends and are supporting such an incredible charity. This next event will have a 1920s theme, and we can’t wait to see all the flat caps and flapper dresses.”
Jenny Perry, Community Fundraiser at Rainbows, added: “On behalf of everyone at Rainbows, I would like to thank Faisal and Nathan and all the competitors in Challenge Charity Boxing, for choosing to support us. We rely on the generosity of our donors and their support has been really special. We hope they can smash their £100,000 target and continue to brighten short lives.”
