Charity Boxing aims for Knockout for Rainbows
Leicester’s Charity Challenge Boxing is aiming for a knockout night to raise money for Rainbows.
The white collar boxing organisation is setting up the ring for its next event at 6pm on Saturday 29 April, at the Maher Centre, and is looking for budding competitors to sign up and help raise money for our charity.
Organised by Nathan Leverton and Faisal Nathani, this is the seventh event in the Challenge Charity Boxing series, and the duo hope to smash the £100,000 mark for us.
Faisal said: “We are so proud to be supporting Rainbows Hospice once again. It is an amazing setting that does so much good for babies, children and young people that deserve the very best in some sad and unfortunate circumstances.
“We have been blown away by how much the event has raised over the years and can’t wait to raise lots more money for Rainbows.”
The organisers are encouraging people to sign up for the event which will have a 1920s theme.
Kerrie Laurie, Community Fundraiser at Rainbows, added: “This is a wonderful event and a lot of fun. We would like to thank Faisal and Nathan and all the competitors in Challenge Charity Boxing, for choosing to support us again. We rely on the generosity of our donors to enable us to provide invaluable care to babies, children and young people with serious and terminal illnesses from across the East Midlands.”
