Outreach
We recognise that the Hospice is just too far away for some families to travel to and that there are some families who wish to receive hospice care and support but not in the hospice building. We are therefore working hard to explore how we can extend the care and support we provide to families closer to home. We are introducing various services to respond to this need.
We recognise that the Hospice is just too far away for some families to travel to and that there are some families who wish to receive hospice care and support but not in the hospice building.
As part of our strategy, we are therefore working hard to explore how we can extend the care and support we provide to families closer to home in addition to the existing family support and therapy services.
A Hospice at Home service is now available, to enable the family to be at home but to ensure they can get adequate rest and spend time all together whilst receiving specialist nursing assessments and care for their child.
